My name is Bill Moody. I have been playing the saxophone professionally for over 30 years, and during that time I have played everything from bluegrass to straight ahead jazz, and everything in between. I love to play all styles of music, but I definitely lean into contemporary jazz, rock and roll, rhythm and blues, soul, and funk. When working as a side man I try to integrate with each group as seamlessly as possible, while trying to inject the type of excitement or soulful sensitivity that only the sax can bring.

When teaching I focus on musicianship, style, reading, sax technique, playing mechanics, improvisation, and tone. I work to tailor each student's lessons to the specific elements of their playing that they want to improve upon, while maintaining focus on the total player and their playing goals. In doing so, we spend lesson time focusing on the skills that are applicable to the type of playing the student wants to do, and where they would like it to take them.

One-on-one in person lessons are available in Grand Junction, Colorado.
